Stretching across 5.2 miles, this captivating trail offers an immersive out-and-back experience for outdoor enthusiasts. Embark on your journey just north of the area headquarters on Briggs Road, where you'll find the trailhead conveniently connected to the enchanting Sassafras Nature Trail. As you traverse the path, you'll be greeted by a mesmerizing boardwalk that carries you over a stunning bog area. Continuing onward, the trail meanders through an ancient wagon road leading to the remarkable Grave Hill, treating you to breathtaking vistas of Long Lake along the way. Beyond Grave Hill, the trail seamlessly merges with the Chief Noonday Trail at the awe-inspiring Devils Soup Bowl. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature as you explore the Long Lake Trail, open for hiking from March to October and offering cross-country skiing opportunities during the winter months.
